Had anyone told us when our daughters were babies that they would be competitive athletes, we'd have said "No way!" School's more important.
Our daughters have amazed us. They are competitive athletes and A students. Ringette is their sport. And because they love it, homework and school have not been an issue, even though they're in dryland, power skating, practice and games almost every day of the week.
And as they've become busier, their grades have risen. They're exceptional at goal setting and very organized.
All so that they can play all the ringette that's available.
Never seen ringette? Here's Ringette Canada's video also on Youtube, with footage from the 2002 World Championships. Enjoy!
